Jayesh Vartak: Photography has seen a major shift in the last 20 years

Mumbai: Photographer Jayesh Vartak, who has worked with a wide range of celebrated names such as Pankaj Tripathi, Sharman Joshi, Rohit Shetty, Johnny Lever, Sargun Mehta, and Ravi Dubey—from both film and television—says photography has changed significantly over the years.
He adds that there are many more options today. “In just about 20 years, photography has seen a major shift from bulky, heavy DSLRs to sleek and lightweight mirrorless cameras. This evolution has made professional gear more compact and user-friendly, without compromising on quality,” he says.
His dream is to make his studio a household name. “My vision for Model Studio is that every home should proudly display a picture clicked by us. I want Model Studio to be the first name that comes to mind whenever people talk about photography,” he shares.
Reflecting on his journey so far and his long list of celebrity clients, he adds, “I’ve had the opportunity to shoot with a diverse and talented lineup of renowned celebrities from the film and television industry, including Kanchi Singh, Swaroopa Ghosh, Arjan Bajwa, Shalini Kapoor, Hrithik Yadav, Rinku Ghosh, Rohit Bakshi, Siddharth Sagar, Romiit Raaj, Rajesh Kumar, Hrishikesh Pandey, Harleen Kaur Rekhi, among others.”
