TRAILER OUT: Durlabh Prasad Ki Dusri Shadi Brings Banarasi Dialogue, Comedy & Drama in a Heartwarming Roller-Coaster

Mumbai: The much-awaited trailer of Durlabh Prasad Ki Dusri Shadi is out, offering a vibrant mix of Banarasi humour, emotional drama, and the unmistakable charm of Varanasi. Starring Sanjay Mishra and Mahima Chaudhary, the trailer instantly draws viewers into the world of Durlabh Prasad, his quirky family dynamics, and the chaos that follows when life takes an unexpected turn.
The trailer opens with a perfect Banarasi moment as Sanjay Mishra sits with his family by the ghats. A sharp dialogue lands instantly: “Teen teen saand baithe hain ek gaiya nahin la sakate.” Sanjay Mishra’s quick-witted comeback, “Ab ham le aaye gaiya…”, sets the tone for the quirky storytelling ahead.
A family member then remarks, “Hamra Murli bada ho gaya, uska biyah kara do. Aurat ke bina ghar kya, sirf eent-patthar ka makan.” But finding a bride becomes a challenge, because no one wants to marry their daughter into a house without a female presence. What follows is a series of hilarious and heartfelt moments as Sanjay Mishra, guided by his over-enthusiastic brother-in-law, gets prepared for his own remarriage.
The trailer weaves in Murli’s blossoming love story, adding charm, confusion, and emotion. Some delightful sequences between Sanjay Mishra and Mahima Chaudhary hint at a refreshing on-screen chemistry. In one memorable line, Mahima says, “Kasam khayi thi bidi chhodne ki… par ye to bidi hai.”, leaving viewers smiling instantly.
The final stretch of the trailer blends humour and emotion seamlessly. Murli and his mama meet a priest to discuss Sanjay Mishra’s remarriage. When the priest hears the groom is over 55, he exclaims, “Isko Ganga mein dhakka de do!” The trailer ends on this note, wrapping up a 2-minute-50-second journey filled with laughter, warmth, and pure Banarasi flavour. Durlabh Prasad Ki Dusri Shadi promises a compelling blend of drama, comedy and heartfelt storytelling.
Speaking about the trailer, Producer Ekansh Bachchan and Harsha Bachchan says, “Banaras has its own rhythm — its humour, its relationships, its heart. We wanted the film’s trailer to reflect that rooted desi emotion. Sanjay ji and Mahima ji bring a sincerity and charm that elevates every scene. This story is about second chances, and about the madness and love that hold Indian families together.
As the country celebrates peak shaadi season, the team is set to launch the trailer in a full wedding-themed celebration. Mahima Chaudhary and Sanjay Mishra, the most happening bride and groom of the year, will arrive in wedding costumes for a fun, filmy, baraat-style event. The entire cast and crew will join in, making the celebration lively, quirky, and unforgettable.
The film is directed by Siddhant Raj Singh, produced by Ekansh Bachchan and Harsha Bachchan, with Ramit Thakur as co-producer.
