Disturbing to realize the extent to which individuals are pushing themselves just to create content: Rhythm Sanadhya

Mumbai: A few days ago, a heartbreaking incident from Himachal Pradesh stopped many of us mid-scroll. Two boys, just 13 and 19, lost their lives while trying to shoot a social media reel in extreme snowy conditions. A moment of fun, creativity, or self-expression turned fatal because the society has normalized going viral, and people can go to any extremes for it.
Song director Rhythm Sanadhya, who recently directed Mahakumbh fame Monalisa Bhosle in Dil Jania and had earlier directed Kapil Sharma’s Har Safar Mein in Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, stressed that no content is worth a human life. Sharing her thoughts on the incident, she said, “It is deeply tragic to hear about the Himachal Pradesh accident involving influencers. What is even more disturbing is realizing the extent to which some individuals are pushing themselvesтАФoften risking their livesтАФjust to create content.”
“In an attempt to mimic cinematic scenes, they forget that films are shot under strict professional supervision, technical planning, and controlled safety measures. Actors perform in snow-clad or risky locations with trained teams, rehearsals, and precautions in place. Trying to recreate those moments without understanding the risks can turn a pursuit of creativity into a fatal mistake. No content, no fame, and no moment of virality is worth a human life,” she added.
She believes social media is not only driving people in the rat race to fame but also to money. She said, “The chaos of social media is pushing younger minds to chase money and fame far before their time. Unlimited exposure to screensтАФwithout boundariesтАФintroduces information and influences long before children have the cognitive ability to process them.”
“Young minds are not completely safe on the internet, and the saddest part is that parents cannot regulate everything all the time,” she added.
Rhythm further shared that she finds it disturbing to see innocent children dancing to songs with obscene or vulgar lyrics and teenagers performing dangerous stunts just for attention. She said, “I fear that if this continues unchecked, we may soon lose the very essence of childhood itself.”
She mentioned that she is afraid that todayтАЩs society is normalizing reckless behavior, outrageous actions, and dangerous stunts. She said, “Influencers, politicians, actors, and other influential personalities carry a responsibilityтАФthey should be spreading awareness, educating people about safety, limits, and accountability, not glamorizing risk.”

Instagram will load in the frontend.

“As viewers, we too must be conscious of our role. By liking, commenting on, or sharing such content, we unknowingly encourage it and help turn unsafe behavior into a trend. Acts that put lives at risk should be discouraged and made punishable, not celebrated,” she added.
She revealed that every time the news of influencers losing their lives in the pursuit of content appears on her feed, she feels helpless and deeply sad. “No validation, no fame, and no moment of virality is worth a human life,” she said.
In the same incident, their pet dog reportedly stayed with the bodies for four days, displaying a level of loyalty that left many speechless. Rhythm shared that she was speechless and stunned to witness the love shown by the pet dog.
She said, “It gave me goosebumpsтАФthis was the true epitome of loyalty and unconditional love. Some bonds exist beyond words, beyond logic, and beyond any form of expectation or self-interest. They remind us of a purity that humans often forget.”
