Human emotions mattered more than zodiac labels: Sachin Tyagi on Jabb Zodiacs Met
Mumbai: Sachin Tyagi plays the role of Chetan in Ishika Shahi’s web series Jabb Zodiacs Met, produced by Rajan Shahi under Director’s Kut Production and streaming on their official YouTube channel. The series premiered on January 16, with Sachin appearing in the second episode, which is themed around the zodiac sign Taurus.
Speaking about the concept of the show, Sachin clarified that astrology or sun signs were never the main draw for him as an actor. “I don’t really follow sun signs and astrology very closely, so that wasn’t the focus for me. What interested me more were the human emotions, relationships, and the situations the characters find themselves in,” he shared.
He added that while time, date, month, or year of birth may have some bearing on a person’s traits and characteristics, he does not believe in confining people—or characters—within rigid zodiac definitions. For him, characters are shaped more by their choices, emotions, and reactions than by astrological labels. As a result, he did not explore his own zodiac sign while preparing for the role, choosing instead to concentrate on the emotional journey and realism of the character.
Sachin also addressed the idea of destiny, clarifying that he does believe in it, though he feels it is a much broader and more layered conversation. He emphasized that success and relationships are influenced by multiple factors, including effort, preparation, and human intent, rather than being driven solely by astrology.
Talking about his experience of working with the show’s creator, Ishika Shahi, Sachin was full of praise. He said, “She has a fresh perspective to film making not seen before. She’s passionate about storytelling while being absolutely grounded in human values and humility. She gives the actors great deal of freedom while inspiring confidence at the same time. Its also quite surprising how confident she is inspite of being a new-comer. Maybe the genes of parents have been put to good use.”He further expressed strong confidence in Ishika’s future as a filmmaker, adding that while success eventually depends on more than just hard work and preparation, he genuinely expects her to succeed as a maker.
