Rinhee Suberwal Says Her Mother And Grandmother Shaped Her Dreams And Destiny

Mumbai: Astrologer and tarot card reader Rinhee Suberwal opened up about the deep emotional bond she shares with her mother and family while reflecting on the meaning of Mother’s Day. Speaking about the women and family members who shaped her life, Rinhee described motherhood as the strongest force behind her dreams, values, and personal journey.
As far as my mother is concerned, we share a very strong bond by the grace of God. We fight, we love, we spend our days together, we share our worries, and we always wish and manifest good things for each other. I have seen many parents who do not understand their child’s dreams, but my mom is the first person to recognize them, support them, and help create a path for me,” she said.
Remembering her late grandmother, Rinhee added, “My nani carried the same quality. She passed away last year, and she was like my first mother in every sense because she raised me from the very beginning. I have cherished every moment with both my nani and my mom. My first mother is my grandmother, my second is my mom, and I also feel that same sense of motherhood from my uncle and aunt. I share a strong bond with all four of them.”
Talking about the lessons that stayed with her forever, Rinhee shared that her family taught her the importance of standing for truth and justice. “My grandma, my maasi, my mama, and my mother taught me something that has always stayed with me. When you are wrong, God will speak to you, and when you are right, God will speak for you. Another important lesson they gave me is to always stand up for my rights and for justice,” she said.
She further added, “I do not care what people think about me or how much they criticize me. That is their karma, and they will face it when the time comes. I will never accept injustice, and that is something I strongly stand by. Maybe that is why some people do not get along with me, but I am okay with it. I would always choose myself over trying to please others.”
Recalling one of her most cherished memories, Rinhee spoke about the unwavering support her mother and grandmother gave her during her acting training days. “When I used to go for auditions or training to become an actor, she would wait for me for three or four hours. That is one of the most memorable experiences I have shared with my mother and my grandmother because not everyone waits like that. But my mom was always there for me, standing like a pillar of support,” she shared.
Rinhee also revealed the moment she truly understood her mother’s sacrifices. “My mom, Mrs. Sona Suberwal, was a contestant on Meri Awaaz Suno hosted by Anu Kapoor, which was eventually won by Sunidhi Chauhan. She was getting offers from different production houses to pursue her career as a singer. But at that time, my training was very important, and she chose to sacrifice her career to support mine. That is when I truly understood her sacrifice,” she said.
Expressing gratitude towards her mother, she added, “Thank you for always believing in me. I have always valued that, especially in a world where people often underestimate others and overlook real talent.”
Sharing what Mother’s Day means to her today, Rinhee concluded on an emotional note. “My mother, Mrs. Sona Suberwal, means the world to me. My grandmother, Mrs. Manjula Das Gupta, meant the world to me. My mama means the world to me, and my mother means the world and the universe to me. That is how I would describe what Mother’s Day means to me.”
