Anupamaa Actress Adrija Roy is on a birthday Holiday!

Mumbai: As Anupamaa actress Adrija Roy gears up to celebrate her birthday on July 4, she is looking forward to keeping the occasion simple yet memorable. This year, the actress is celebrating in Switzerland with her fiancé, Vignuesh, and says that the trip is less about a grand vacation and more about spending some quality time together.

“This year I’m celebrating my birthday in Switzerland with my fiancé, Vignuesh. It’s going to be a quiet and special celebration. We both have busy schedules, so getting this time together feels like a gift in itself. I’m looking forward to exploring new places, enjoying good food, and just being present in the moment. I feel birthdays are less about big celebrations and more about making memories with the people you love,” Adrija says. While many people enjoy extravagant birthday parties, the actress admits she has always preferred intimate celebrations over lavish ones.

“I’m definitely someone who enjoys celebrating with my loved ones. A nice dinner with family and close friends is my kind of birthday. I don’t need a huge party to feel special. Good food, good company and lots of laughter are enough for me. Those simple moments are the ones I remember the most,” she adds.

For Adrija, every birthday begins with gratitude. No matter where she is in the world, she follows a few traditions that have stayed with her over the years and keep her connected to her roots.”My birthday rituals are very simple. I start the day by thanking Durga Maa for another beautiful year of life and praying for good health and happiness for everyone around me. Then I take my parents’ blessings because that means a lot to me. I also like taking a few minutes to think about the year that has gone by and remind myself to be grateful for everything life has given me,” she shares.

Unlike many actors who end up celebrating birthdays on a film or television set, Adrija says she has been fortunate. She credits the DKP team for always making sure she gets to spend her birthday with her loved ones.”Thankfully, it hasn’t happened to me. The DKP team has always been very understanding, and I’ve usually been able to take the day off for my birthday. I’m really grateful for that because birthdays are one of those occasions I like spending with my family and loved ones,” she says.

When asked about the most meaningful gift she has ever received, Adrija doesn’t mention a material possession. Instead, she says life itself is the greatest blessing.”I honestly feel the biggest gift is life itself. God has been very kind to me, both personally and professionally. Nothing is more valuable than having good health, loving people around me and waking up every day with something to look forward to,” she says.

If she had the chance to gift herself something that money cannot buy, Adrija says she would choose peace of mind and the ability to stay grateful through every phase of life.And speaking about the people who make her birthday complete, she smiles and says, “My parents have always been the biggest part of my birthday, and now Vignesh and my in-laws have become an equally special part of it. Having all of them around makes every birthday complete.”
