Mumbai: The latest but old entrants of ALTBalaji’s youth drama Puncch Beat 2 are two female characters. Mrinmai Kolwalkar and Kasturi Banerjee have rejoined the cast of the famous youth drama. Mrinmai and Kasturi will join the show as two professors again. While Mrinmai plays Bansuri, Kasturi plays Miss Bose. Bansuri is unmarried and every boy’s crush. On the other hand, the strict Miss Bose, played by Kasturi, is Divyanka and Aditi’s maasi.
While talking about Mrinmai’s character, she said, ‘She’s the biology teacher, but all that she wants is some perfect chemistry in her love life. She sweeps her students off their feet through her impeccable style. She’s desirable, hot, and the good news is she’s single.’ Kasturi, who was also in the first season of the show, and several popular TV shows like Kundali Bhagya, Kawach and has also won accolades’ and appreciation for her international movies like “Shadows of Time and “Ryan & I” ( an adaptation of Satyajit Ray’s “Dui Bondhu”) Kasturi will be seen essaying the character of a strict teacher Miss Bose at Rosewood High. Talking about playing the character, she said, “There was no question of not coming back! Love being Miss Bose and bossing around! She is strict, very old school- goes by the book and is big on ‘following rules’. Totally unlike me; so it’s always a challenge. If you can psyche yourself to think from her point of view you ll find her less evil, (laughs)”.Earlier, the makers had released the trailer of the show, which was well-received. The trailer started with a scenic view of Rosewood High. The trailer also gave us a glimpse of the changing equations that in high school. Padmini and Rahat are the new love birds in Rosewood High, while Ranbir gets a new ally in Meesha. Along with dance, drama, celebrations, preparations, this season will also see a murder.
