Director Prasad Kadam gears up for feature film debut with remake of his acclaimed short film starring Anupam Kher

Mumbai : Banker-turned-filmmaker Prasad Kadam, who has carved a niche for himself with his storytelling in both music videos and short films, is now preparing to step into the world of feature filmmaking. Known for directing music videos for T-Series and acclaimed shorts featuring actors such as Vivek Oberoi, Rohit Roy, Adah Sharma, and Aahana Kumra, Prasad found wide recognition with his short film Happy Birthday. This short film would be converted to a feature film soon! Released two years ago, Happy Birthday brought him into the limelight with stellar performances from Anupam Kher and Aahana Kumra. The film, which is currently available for a limited time on YouTube, has already received international acclaim. It won the Best Film award and Best Actor award for Anupam Kher at the New York International Film Festival and was also nominated for the prestigious Filmfare OTT Awards. “Currently, I’m working on my debut feature film, an adaptation of my own short Happy Birthday,” he revealed. Reflecting on his collaboration with the legendary actor Anupam Kher in the film, Prasad shared, “Working with Anupam Kher was an absolute privilege. The best thing about him as an actor is the way he brings truth and depth to every single moment, no matter how small. I was amazed by his punctuality and professionalism.
