H&M announces appointment of Helena Kuylenstierna as Director for India operations
Bangalore: H&M India has appointed Helena Kuylenstierna as the new Director for its operations in India. Based at the head office in Bangalore, Helena brings over 24 years of experience with the brand and is set to spearhead significant growth and profitability for H&M India.
Prior to this role, Helena served as the Global Managing Director for Kidswear at H&M, where she championed the brand’s commitment to “liberating fashion for the many.” Her vision focuses on providing fantastic collections at great prices, with the customer at the heart of every decision. Helena’s leadership will be instrumental in enhancing the relevance of H&M’s offerings for Indian customers while improving both the physical and digital store experiences.
“Being a diverse market, we strongly believe that India has unique needs, and we are excited to take steps to make the most out of the opportunities we see to improve local customer relevance and maximize growth,” said Kuylenstierna. “We will continue to democratize fashion and offer elevated collections that allow our customers to celebrate self-expression. Going forward, we have very ambitious plans for H&M India, and I hope to bring all my past experiences into this fantastic region, while learning from all the current and future talents we have in our local teams.”
Originally from Sweden, Helena began her career with H&M in 2001 and has held various key positions, including Assortment Manager & Division Head for Kids, Global Purchasing Manager in Shanghai’s Production Office, and Head of Buying & Production at ARKET.
As H&M India continues to adapt to the dynamic retail landscape, Kuylenstierna’s expertise is expected to drive the brand’s commitment to fashion accessibility and customer-centricity in one of the world’s fastest-growing markets.
