UNN: Power couple Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal proudly present TAPS, a moving queer love story premiering today. Written and directed by Arvind Caulagi, this poignant short film coincides with the birthday of Sudhanshu Saria, who also celebrates 10 years in the Indian film industry.
‘TAPS’ is a testament to the evolving narratives in Indian cinema, championing LGBTQIA+ representation with sensitivity and depth. The film is produced by Four Line Entertainment, founded by National Award-winning filmmaker Sudhanshu Saria, in collaboration with the Kashish Arts Foundation and Lotus Visual Productions.
Sudhanshu Saria, known for his compelling storytelling in projects like KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK, Ulajh, Big Girls Don’t Cry, continues to push boundaries with TAPS. As an advocate for diverse and inclusive narratives, his decade-long journey in the industry has been marked by bold, thought-provoking cinema that resonates with audiences across genres.

Reflecting on this milestone, Saria said, “”TAPS reminded me of when I was making my first film LOEV ten years ago. It felt like the perfect way to build on LOEV’s legacy in queer cinema by supporting another story that normalizes queer representation on our screens and talks about the everyday issues one faces in relationships, whether gay or not. I’ve known Ali since we were in school and I’m so proud of the love and authenticity with which Richa and him live their life. To have them join hands with us in presenting this film feels like a perfect celebration of what this film stands for.”
Ali Fazal took to Instagram to share the trailer of the film and wrote,”Each and Every relationship comes with its own unique love language and when Richa and me saw this film, we couldn’t help marvel at the way it had captured the truths of being in a relationship. It stuck with us.
