Yellowstone International Film Festival 6th Edition Concludes with a Power-Packed Closing Night in Mumbai
Mumbai – The 6th edition of the Yellowstone International Film Festival (YIFF) drew to a grand close last night in Mumbai, marking the end of a vibrant and culturally rich festival held from 13th to 20th November. Known for championing independent voices and under-represented stories, Yellowstone International Film Festival once again brought together filmmakers, artists, and audiences for a week of powerful cinema and cross-cultural conversation.
This year’s festival featured an impressive mix of international and Indian films, curated masterclasses by critically acclaimed personalities like Shoojit Sircar and YIFF’s signature Short Film Competition, which continues to be a respected platform for emerging filmmakers aged 18–30. The festival also highlighted socially relevant themes, diverse narratives, and innovative storytelling – reinforcing Yellowstone’s reputation as one of India’s most democratic and inclusive film festivals.
The closing ceremony was a star-studded celebration attended by acclaimed actors Vipin Kumar Sharma, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Nikita Rawal, and Rupali Suri, among other industry personalities. The evening included award announcements, tributes to independent cinema, and recognitions across categories such as Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, and special jury honours.
With another successful edition wrapped, Yellowstone continues to cement its place as one of the most energetic platforms for new voices in Indian and global cinema.
