XG Named Global Ambassadors for G-SHOCK!

UNN: The seven-member Hip hop/R&B-inspired girl group XG, active on the global stage, has been appointed global ambassador for Casio’s shock-resistant watch brand, G-SHOCK.
XG consists of members JURIN, CHISA, HINATA, HARVEY, JURIA, MAYA, and COCONA. Since debuting in March 2022 with their first single “Tippy Toes,” they have achieved major international milestones, including becoming the first Japanese artist to rank No.1 on Billboard’s “Hot Trending Songs Powered by Twitter,” and the first Japanese girl group to appear on the cover of Billboard magazine.
In 2025, they performed at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, becoming the first Japanese act to headline the Sahara Stage. The performance received high praise from media in Japan and abroad. Their first world tour, XG 1st WORLD TOUR “The first HOWL”, included 47 shows across 35 cities in 18 countries and regions, concluding with a sold-out finale at Tokyo Dome on May 14, 2025, drawing 50,000 fans.

XG’s groundbreaking approach – defining their own genre “X-POP” instead of being confined to traditional J-POP or K-POP categories – resonated with G-SHOCK’s brand identity, which is built around toughness, shock resistance, and unique design. This shared philosophy led to their appointment as global ambassador.
To mark the collaboration, a special site has been launched featuring key visuals and a promotional video. Under the slogan “No Destination,” the video tells a story of boldly stepping into the future without being bound by fear, with XG and G-SHOCK journeying into a new world together. The art direction was led by YAR, a creative team helmed by renowned Japanese artist YOSHIROTTEN, bringing a fresh and energetic vision to life.
On becoming global ambassadors, XG commented:
