Donald Trump Shares First Image of Venezuelan President Maduro Aboard US Warship
US President Donald Trump took to his Truth Social to share the first photo of ‘captured’ Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro aboard US warship USS Iwo Jima.
Caracas : US attacks Venezuela – At least seven explosions accompanied by low-flying aircraft were reportedly heard around 2 am (local time) Saturday in Venezuela’s capital, Caracas. The attacks took place in Caracas and the states of Miranda, Aragua and La Guaira, the Venezuelan government said in a statement, as per Reuters.
Hours after the explosions, Donald Trump confirmed on Truth Social that the “US has successfully carried out a large scale strike against Venezuela and its leader.” He also said that Maduro and his wife have been captured and flown out of the country.
Why US attacked Venezuela?
The US has repeatedly accused the Venezuelan leader of being one of the world’s leading narco-traffickers – alleging that he worked with cartels to flood the US with fentanyl-laced cocaine.
In 2020, federal prosecutors claimed that Maduro and other senior Venezuelan government officials collaborated with the Colombian guerilla group Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia, or FARC, to traffic cocaine and weapons to the United States.

डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प ने कहा है कि अब वेनेजुएला पर अमेरिका का कब्जा है। उन्होंने कहा कि जब तक वहां हालात ठीक नहीं हो जाते, वेनेजुएला को अमेरिका ही चलाएगा। ट्रम्प ने अमेरिकी सैनिकों की तारीफ कर कहा कि ऐसी बहादुरी दुनिया का कोई और देश नहीं दिखा सकता। वहीं अमेरिका के जॉइंट चीफ्स ऑफ स्टाफ के चेयरमैन जनरल डैन केन ने बताया कि मादुरो को पकड़ने के ऑपरेशन में 150 से ज्यादा प्लेन शामिल थे।
अमेरिका लाए जा रहे मादुरो
डोनाल्ड ट्रंप ने यह भी कहा है कि वेनेजुएला के राष्ट्रपति निकोलस मादुरो और उनकी पत्नी को युद्धपोत से अमेरिका लाया जा रहा है, उन पर न्यूयॉर्क में मुकदमा चलेगा। ट्रंप ने यह भी कहा कि वेनेजुएला में अब मादुरो के वफादारों के लिए कोई जगह नहीं है। अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति ने वेनेजुएला की ऑइल इंडस्ट्री में कूदने का भी ऐलान किया है।
