Dream of kolkata music lover’s became true by the performance of Dream Theatre On 1st Feb.

Kolkata : UNN-Kunal Das- Grammy-winning progressive metal American band Dream Theater performed in Kolkata tonight, February 1, 2026, as part of their 40th Anniversary Tour, Nine years after their last performance in Mumbai in 2017. As per their announcement their India tour kicked off on January 30th 2026 in Bengaluru and followed by a debut performance in Kolkata on Feb 1 at Aquatica ground.

The performance was part of Dream Theater’s 40th Anniversary Tour, celebrating four decades of musical innovation and technical mastery. The band — featuring guitarist John Petrucci, bassist John Myung, vocalist James LaBrie, keyboardist Jordan Rudess, and drummer Mike Portnoy — treated the crowd to a career-spanning set that blended iconic classics with selections from their latest album Parasomnia.
Gates opened in the early evening, and by showtime at around 7 p.m. IST, the Aquatica grounds were buzzing with anticipation. Fans ranged from long-time devotees in band tees to younger listeners experiencing the band’s technical prowess for the first time.
