Mumbai: Bollywood glamour met the world of emerging cinema as The Short Film Festival – Bolti Khidkiyaan, presented by Mukesh Chhabra Casting Company (MCCC), rolled out its red carpet in Mumbai. The annual festival held its 2026 edition, offering a dynamic platform for aspiring filmmakers and the fresh voices of evolved cinema.
The event witnessed a glamorous turnout with renowned faces from B-town gracing the film festival. Imtiaz Ali, Rajkummar Rao, Farah Khan, Sonam Bajwa, Abhishek Banerjee, Kumud Mishra, Ahsaas Channa, Arhaan Khan, Banita Sandhu, Ayesha Khan, Fardeen Khan, Anup Soni, Sargun Mehta, Medha Rana, Abhimanyu Dasani, and Saloni Batra were the faces in attendance.


While MCCC celebrates and offers a platform for the fresh voices of Indian cinema, Mukesh Chhabra makes his debut as producer with Gudgudi, starring Ahsaas Channa. The makers of Gudgudi unveiled its first poster, showcasing Ahsaas decked up as a bunny mascot, but what intrigues is her expression that makes you guess what’s behind it.
“The face they love, the story they don’t see,” captioned the makers as they unveiled the poster on social media. Directed by Manisha K Makwana, the film was especially created to be celebrated at Bolti Khidkiyaan film festival.
With films like Dhurandhar, O’ Romeo, Jawan, Dunki, and more, Mukesh Chhabra has established himself as a casting dynamo in Bollywood. With an eagle’s eye for casting perfection, Mukesh Chhabra has added several strong titles to his body of work, and he continues to maintain the upward graph. After venturing into production with Gudgudi, the director has added another golden feather to his hat – and he’s just started with this sharp curve!
