Saroj Ji’s Magic, Dev Saab’s Blessing & Sunil Grover’s Show-Stopping Song with Madhuri Dixit and Jackie Shroff on Netflix’s The Great Indian Kapil Show

Mumbai : Netflix’s The Great Indian Kapil Show turns into a beautiful walk down memory lane as 90s favourites Madhuri Dixit and Jackie Shroff revisit stories from their iconic film journey together from Parinda, Ram Lakhan, Tridev, Sangeet to Khalnayak. Jackie fondly reflects on the many shades of their on-screen pairing, smiling as he says Madhuri has played almost every relationship opposite him “wife bani, girlfriend bani, meri behen bani, meri MIL bani… I feel happy.” Kapil cheekily asks if dancing alongside one of Bollywood’s finest ever made him nervous, but Jaggu Dada answers in effortless style, “Mujhe tension tha hi nahi… sab unko dekhte the,” drawing loud cheers and nostalgic laughter.
The nostalgia deepens as Madhuri shares that her favourite choreographer has always been Saroj Ji, recalling how during Ram Lakhan, Saroj Khan changed an entire dance routine within moments to suit her shy on-screen character a glimpse into the magic behind some of Bollywood’s most iconic songs. She also shares a fun behind-the-scenes moment from Devdas, revealing that her heavily embroidered outfit in “Kahe Chhed Mohe” was so heavy it kept hitting Shah Rukh Khan during the dance takes. Hoping to finish quickly, Shah Rukh jokingly said, “Karde karde Madhuri, ek shot mein abhi ho jayega… warna mujhe baar baar khana padega,” leaving everyone on set laughing.

Jackie dada shares a deeply personal moment about his idol Dev Saab, remembering how the legend once told him, “Subah subah tumhari tasveer dekhi, shaam ko tum mere saamne khade ho… tumhe role zarur dunga,” a blessing that stayed with him forever. And just when emotions settle, the Mastiverse lifts the energy again as Sunil Grover returns as Diamond Raja with his brand-new song, “Uhu Uhu” along with Madhuri and going full swag with “Haan Bhidu” with Jackie turning nostalgia into a full musical comedy celebration.
