Cambridge June 2025 exam results show soaring demand for international education
Indore : As the world navigates rapid advancements in technology, manages the growing impact of climate change, and faces geopolitical shifts, more students and families in India are turning to an international education. Cambridge International Education (Cambridge) has released the results of its June 2025 exam series to over 680,000 students worldwide тАФ a 9% increase over last year тАФ reflecting this accelerating education trend toward global readiness. Linked to the increased number of students, the number of exam entries has risen again this June to nearly 1.7 million globally тАУ a 7% increase on last year. In India, total entries for the June 2025 exam series grew by 5%.
Today, 4680 students across 252 schools in the country have received their Cambridge IGCSE and O Level results. There were over 21,600 exam entries in the June 2025 series, marking a 7% growth compared to June 2024. The most popular subjects were First Language English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology, reflecting strong learner interest in core academic disciplines.
Cambridge International AS & A Level results were released on 12 August to more than 5300 students in 230 schools in India, opening doors to top universities and future-focused careers. There were over 12,900 entries for Cambridge International AS & A Level exams in the June 2025 series, marking a 3% increase from June 2024. The most popular subjects were Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Business, and Economics.
Cambridge International Education holds three exam series each year in India, enabling schools to choose the series that best fits their studentsтАЩ needs. The March series is the largest тАУ with 11% growth in entries this year тАУ however June is also a popular choice for schools.

Future-ready skills in high demand
English, mathematics and science remain the most popular subjects globally at both Cambridge International AS & A Level and Cambridge IGCSE. However, there is growth in entries for subjects such as Cambridge International AS & A Level Global Perspectives тАФ up 17% worldwide this year тАУ which encourages students to think critically about global challenges, conduct independent research, and articulate evidence-based arguments. The skills developed through Global Perspectives are recognised as being good preparation for higher education. тАЬAs AI transforms the job market, and as climate and global issues demand collaborative solutions, itтАЩs no surprise that more schools are seeking subjects that equip their students to think beyond borders,тАЭ said Rod Smith. тАЬCambridge Global Perspectives exemplifies the skills students need today тАФ curiosity, rigour and the ability to understand issues from othersтАЩ perspectives.тАЭ
Demand for international education rising globally
The number of schools worldwide making entries in the June series has grown by 38% over the past five years, with an associated 74% growth in entries. In total, 5507 Cambridge International Schools in 149 countries made exam entries for the June 2025 series.
Cambridge, with more than 160 years of experience in international assessment, now serves nearly two million students annually. Its programmes тАУ including Cambridge Checkpoint for younger learners as well as Cambridge IGCSE, O Level, International AS & A Level and the International Project Qualification тАУ are valued by schools and universities worldwide.
