When the show started, I had assured my fans that this character won’t be stereotypical and the new look is proof. It’s an interesting change. I have never dressed up like this but once I am in the costume my body language changes, it gives me power and I feel stronger. We initially did a look test and since then I’ve been looking at how people especially women in the forces carry themselves. I am subconsciously letting their walking style, body language, and confidence flow through me. I have always loved playing strong characters and Bulbul is exactly what I wanted. I am excited to see what all Bulbul does in the future.Roopal mentioned that the minute she heard about Bulbul Mishra, she had to play the character.
