Siddharth Roy Kapur Is Quietly Building India’s Most Impressive Streaming Slate

Mumbai: Siddharth Roy Kapur has always been known for an ability to perfectly blend creativity with commerce, and the new smash hit series Matka King has proven it all over again.
The show has emerged as Amazon Prime Video’s most successful new show since Farzi, which had launched more than 3 years ago! The show debuted in Amazon’s Global Top 10 across all languages in its first week of release and has been the top show on Amazon Prime in over 37 countries. A second season of Matka King was officially announced yesterday within only a couple of weeks of the launch of the first, a rare phenomenon in the streaming business.
RKF’s next streaming series, the action thriller Teen Kauwe, launches on Amazon later this year and is amongst the most anticipated new shows of 2026, after a stunning first look dropped recently. The show features a stellar cast including Bobby Deol, Sidhant Gupta, Fatima Sana Sheikh, Pavail Gulati, Ronit Roy, and Faisal Malik, amongst others. RKF also has new shows in development with Jio HotStar and Netflix respectively, both of which are slated to go into production in the coming months.

Roy Kapur Films has been steadily building a streaming slate that feels distinct, with each show carving out its own space across platforms while reflecting a consistent instinct for compelling storytelling. With its first series – the Raveena Tandon starrer Aranyak on Netflix, the studio had delivered an atmospheric crime drama rooted in mood, landscape, and character that broke into Netflix’s Global Top 10 Non-English Series in its very first week, one of the first Indian shows to achieve this. This was followed up with Rocket Boys on SonyLIV, which is widely considered to be amongst the most consequential Indian series of all-time, winning multiple awards, including the Filmfare Best OTT Series award and an International Emmy nomination for Jim Sarbh.
Taken together, the RKF streaming slate reflects a studio that consistently builds strong emotional connections with audiences across genres and platforms, with each project reinforcing its reputation as the gold standard in premium storytelling.
