Tanu Khan Feels Nostalgic Playing Miss Maya Jaduwala in Divya Prem: Pyaar Aur Rahasya Ki Kahani: I have a wand just like Harry Potter

Mumbai: Some characters don’t just bring magic on screen, they make you feel it from within, and that’s exactly what this journey has been like for Tanu Khan. As she steps into the role of Miss Maya Jaduwala in Sun Neo’s Divya Prem: Pyaar Aur Rahasya Ki Kahani, she isn’t just playing a strong and mysterious character, but also reconnecting with that childlike wonder, imagination, and nostalgia she grew up with.
Talking about her experience, Tanu Khan shares, “Honestly, I’m having a lot of fun playing Miss Maya Jaduwala. It genuinely takes me back to my childhood, when we used to watch Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and get lost in that magical world. There’s a similar vibe here, which makes it even more special for me. I am the principal of this magical school, and I have special powers. I have a wand just like Harry Potter through which I perform many magic spells, and I am also very powerful and disciplined. I always keep an eye on my students and guide them. I also like the whole look, especially the hat and magical styling, it just adds so much charm to the character.”

She further added, “What I love most about this character is that, behind her strict nature, she has a very strong sense of right and wrong. She truly believes that magic should be used to help and protect, not to scare anyone. That makes her feel more real and relatable to me. Playing someone with so much authority, yet with little quirks and human sides, has been a beautiful experience. Also, since she wears almost the same outfit every day, it’s quite easy and convenient as an actor.
