For the creative juice to flow,, the atmosphere around has to be very conducive: Urban energy architect Meenakshi Agarwal on visiting the Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai! 2.0 set

UNN: Meenakshi Agarwal, who is an urban energy architect with nearly three decades of experience in the fields of Feng Shui, Vastu, and metaphysical sciences, recently visited the sets of Binaiferr Kohli and Sanjay Kohli’s Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai! 2.0. She is all praise for the authentic small-town setup and confessed that it was full of energy.
She said, “My first impression of the Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain 2.0 set was how realistic it was. I am originally from Uttar Pradesh, and the small-town village feel was so well replicated, so authentic. And how this serial is full of energy. Even the set seemed full of energy. And you know, the actors, the staff, and everyone just looked so much at home and so happy with each other.”
She mentioned that from a Vastu perspective, it is very important for television sets and creative workspaces to have the right energy and balance because creativity is a very fluid career option. She said, “A creative mind needs space to think within themselves, not only outside. And can do that that when they are fully relaxed and at ease. There are certain shapes; there are certain colors thatease creativity, which encourage creativity. And we want to give such colors, such shapes, such outlines, so that people have a broader perspective and can think out of the box and can feel totally relaxed while enacting.”
“It is very important because, you know, people think it’s easy, but it’s not. You know, you have to impersonate; you have to be someone you are not. The director has to get just the right shots; the photographer has to get the right angles. For the creative juices to be flowing, the atmosphere around has to be very, very conducive, and the energy has to reach these people, and the energies have to talk to each other and create a synergy,” she added.
A tea was arranged for her interaction with the actors, Binaiferr and the production manager. She said, “It is important for them to grow their own energy and have the ability to feel gratitude because that is the most important thing. That is the only gift we can give back to the universe, which gives us so many opportunities and so many good things: a great career, money, professional growth, and the fact that they have great chemistry on screen. And it is important to sort of have a similar thing off-screen where they can chit-chat with each other, they can laugh with each other, they can laugh at each other.”
“They are well-meaning and helpful. And I felt that Binaiferr, with her kindness, has also been successful in creating that atmosphere on her set. And all the actors agreed that they like to be with each other, they get along, they are very attached to the serial, to the set, to each other, and they are always there to help each other out,” she added.
While doing the vaastu for the set, Meenakshi said, “I had to keep in mind that the photographer needs angles and that the actors need room to move around and that the space is constrained. But you know, what I basically gave the guideline for for was to use the right colors, which can lead to growth. Not have clashing colors. In the living room in the grand hall, reception hall of the hotel, I asked them to put a round table or a round rug with flowers on top between the staircase and the door so that the energy is not crushed and it has time to circulate to all parts of the hotel, which is an important set for these episodes.”
“And also I looked around and saw that they have recreated greenery and fresh flowers in a lot of the open areas of the set. I had also asked them to light real diyas for the Holika Dahan ceremony, which they were showing. And, it is just to create a more homogeneous atmosphere, have colors in the creative cycle of elements water, wood, fire, earth, and metal, and not have them clash with each other. So that’s what I did,” she added.
Binaiferr and Meenakshi are very old friends. “Our children studied together in school. And I’ve known her for many years. And one thing that I have always seen in her is that she is very kind. And even right now for the set, her thought was that she wanted to do a set in a way that her actors are not stressed out, her production team is not stressed out, and they all feel relaxed and at ease, and that will help them perform better because they are not under pressure,” she said.
“I think she just wanted kindness, harmony, and a peaceful, nice atmosphere around and, of course, growth for the serial and that it should keep reaching out to the Indian diaspora and creating laughter and happiness wherever it goes,” Meenakshi ended.
