Mumbai: I’ve seen both sides of fame. In one reality show, I received a lot of love, and in another, I saw India-level hate. What I realised is that people loved me when I was just being myself. After my first show, I think a little arrogance and certain habits stayed with me, and in the second show I became too conscious of how I was being perceived. I started focusing too much on the 30% criticism and tried to turn that hate into love by becoming a little too nice and careful. In that process, I feel I lost the 70% love that was already coming my way. This time, I’m not trying to be anything else. The raw and real Yogesh that people connected with is exactly what they’re going to see inside Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa.
For me, friendship is everything. I get along best with people who are fun-loving, loyal and the kind who would do anything for their friends. If someone becomes my friend, I’ll go all out for them. Aur agar dushman ban gaya… phir toh alag baat hai.
I hope I do the right thing, but mere saath ek problem hai- karne main kaam jaata hoon, par kaand ho jaata hai har baari.

One thing about me is that I’m a perfectionist. Whatever I do, I like to give it my absolute best. Until now, most of the shows I’ve done have primarily reached a younger audience in India. But with Netflix and Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa, I feel I’ll be reaching people across age groups, across cities and even across countries. The audience isn’t limited anymore. People from different generations, different backgrounds and different parts of the world will be watching.
