Mumbai: Sunny Deol is all set to surprise audiences with a never-seen-before avatar in SURYAA, as the makers unveiled the film’s intense motion poster today, announcing its theatrical release on 20 November 2026.
Rugged, weathered and carrying the weight of a complicated past, Sunny’s first look offers a striking departure from his larger-than-life screen persona. His piercing gaze and brooding presence hint at a man caught between the life he has left behind and a truth he can no longer escape.
Sharing his thoughts on the film, Sunny Deol said, “Torn between Past and Present, He uncovers the TRUTH! Presenting SURYAA: अंत से आरंभ तक! IN CINEMAS 20th November 2026.”
The motion poster offers a glimpse into the intriguing world of SURYAA, built around the powerful tagline, “अंत से आरंभ तक”. As the past collides with the present, the story follows a man drawn into a web of unanswered questions and buried truths. What begins as an investigation soon takes him into territory far more complex than he anticipated, setting the stage for a gripping crime drama driven by mystery, emotion and confrontation.
“I signed Sunny Deol for two films — Gadar 2 and SURYAA. We began with Gadar 2, and it became history. Motivated by its success, and drawing upon my experience of more than five decades in the industry, I created SURYAA — a story of a common man that will surely touch every life. The film takes the audience through a never-before-seen avatar of Sunny Deol, interestingly woven across three phases of his life journey. This gripping thriller is designed to transport audiences into two different eras,” says Kamal Mukut.
With a deeply weathered look and an intense, restrained presence, Sunny’s character raises questions about not just what he is searching for, but the experiences that have shaped him. SURYAA sees the actor explore a different dramatic space, bringing together internal conflict, investigation and the intensity audiences have come to associate with his memorable performances.
