D2CIA Welcomes Government’s Progressive Push for Ease of Doing Business and Industrial Reforms in Jammu & Kashmir
UNN: The D2CIA has lauded the proactive initiative of the Government of Jammu & Kashmir for engaging with industry stakeholders on key issues related to Ease of Doing Business, industrial reforms, and investment promotion in the Union Territory.
D2CIA appreciates the government’s consultative approach in bringing together leading trade and industry bodies to discuss policy reforms aimed at accelerating economic growth and industrial development in Jammu & Kashmir.
The association particularly welcomed the following key highlights emerging from the deliberations:
* Focus on strengthening the Ease of Doing Business ecosystem in Jammu & Kashmir.
* Emphasis on introducing a modern and investor-friendly industrial policy.
Highlighting the concerns and suggestions from the industry perspective, Haya Qazi Vice President, D2CIA Kashmir stated:
1. Relaxation in yearly NOCs for women-owned and women-run educational institutions.
2. Strengthening the digital infrastructure, as government portals remain non-functional most of the time.
3. Timely disbursement of credit and incentives to businesses to reduce operational costs and financial burden.
4. NOCs should be issued within a stipulated timeframe.
D2CIA stated that such collaborative initiatives reflect the government’s commitment towards creating a transparent, growth-oriented, and business-friendly environment in Jammu & Kashmir.
The association further expressed confidence that these reforms will strengthen investor sentiment, encourage industrial expansion, generate employment opportunities for youth, and position Jammu & Kashmir as an emerging destination for trade, tourism, manufacturing, and innovation.
