21 July 2025 – Mumbai witnessed another kind of landmark: the rise of powerful storytelling at the Screenlights International Film Festival, where the feature film Tara – The Journey of Love & Passion won the Best Women Empowerment Film Award. Directed and produced by veteran filmmaker Kumar Raj, Tara features a moving performance by Rekha Rana, whose portrayal of the title role is as heartbreaking as it is inspiring.
