“I Like My Style to Feel Effortless Yet Glam”: Soniya Bansal
Mumbai: As Soniya Bansal prepares for her upcoming film The Last Breath alongside Shiv Thakare, the actress is not just stepping into a new cinematic phase—she’s also embracing a fashion identity that feels distinctly her own. Having first gained widespread attention through Bigg Boss 17, Soniya says her journey since then has been about growth, both as an actor and as an individual. “With The Last Breath, I really want to explore a more mature and layered side of myself,” she shares, adding that this transition is also reflected in the way she presents herself. When it comes to fashion, Soniya is clear about what defines her. “My personal style is effortless, chic, and a mix of comfort with a touch of glam,” she says. “I don’t like overcomplicating things. I prefer outfits that feel easy but still make a statement.”
While she keeps an eye on trends, she doesn’t believe in following them blindly. “I like following trends, but I always add my own twist and stick to timeless pieces too. That way, my style still feels like me,” she explains. Her everyday fashion choices reflect this philosophy. “On most days, you’ll find me in a good pair of jeans, a stylish top, and sneakers. It’s simple, comfortable, and still looks put together,” she says.
Soniya also believes that fashion is deeply personal. “I love exploring different brands, but I only pick what resonates with my personality. It’s important that what I wear feels authentic,” she notes. For public appearances, confidence becomes her biggest styling tool. “My favourite red carpet moments are the ones where I feel completely myself. If you’re confident, any outfit works,” she says.
The actress is also becoming increasingly mindful of sustainability. “I believe in repeating outfits and making thoughtful choices. Fashion doesn’t always have to be about something new—it can also be about styling the same piece differently,” she adds. Summing up her style mantra, Soniya says, “Wear what makes you feel confident. Trends will come and go, but your comfort and individuality should always stay.”
