Mumbai: Actress Chaitali Kohli who has been part of films like Crew and Single Papa recently attended a wedding in Jaipur and came back very happy. She shares how much she loves to dress up and enjoy spending time with near and dear ones. She says,”It was a very close family friend’s wedding. I have known the family for the past 20 years. It was very special for me because I have seen the kids grow up. It felt wonderful to watch them step into this beautiful phase of life.
And I absolutely love Indian weddings. I enjoy dressing up according to the planner or based on the occasion. In India weddings are so intricately planned, and people put in a lot of effort to create warmth, comfort, and celebration for everyone. So the least I can do as a guest is dress up well. And honestly, being me, I love dressing up anyway. We had seven different functions, and I really enjoyed getting ready for all of them.”
On being asked about her favourite way of dressing for a wedding, the actress says,”I usually follow the tradition or the theme mentioned in the planner. For this particular wedding, we had different themes for different events — from a traditional dressing-up mehfil to even a fun pyjama party. It made every function feel unique and exciting. The best part is everyone coming together and celebrating the bond of love we share with each other. The atmosphere is full of warmth and happiness. And of course, the food is always wonderful. Unlike many other traditions, Indian weddings give people the chance to spend quality time together, celebrate, and create beautiful memories.”
