It’s a youth-based show that many people can relate to: Nishi Saxena on Jabb Zodiacs Met
Mumbai: Nishi Saxena is seen as Arya in Ishika Shahi’s web series Jabb Zodiacs Met, which has been produced by Rajan Shahi’s Director’s Kut Production and streams on their official YouTube channel. The series went live on January 16, and the actress is seen in the very first episode, which revolves around the zodiac sign Aries.
She is all praise for Ishika and the concept of the show. She said, “When I first heard the concept, I was immediately in. Ishika is creating something very new, very generational, and very fresh. It connects with people at a genuine level, especially the new generation.”
“It’s a youth-based show that many people can relate to, and that really intrigued me as an actor. I was very excited to try a web series like this,” she added.
A true believer in zodiac signs, though she is a Gemini by birth, she played an Aries in the show and connected with the traits shown by her sign. She said, “In real life, I am a Gemini. Interestingly, my friend in the show, Jia, was playing a Gemini, and I totally related to her. I do believe in zodiac signs and their characteristics, so I kept reading and searching online. I found many similarities, which made the character even more interesting for me.”
And she confessed that she connected with a few of Arya’s traits. She said, “Arya, being an Aries, is confident and expressive, and that really defines her. In real life, I am a Gemini, and I relate to being curious, expressive, and always eager to learn new things. That curiosity helped me connect deeply with the story.”
But she did not find it hard to play the role. She said, “Portraying the emotions of an Aries was not very challenging because astrology is something created by humans. We can believe in it and take guidance from it, but emotions come naturally. They are not controlled by astrology; they come from within us, and that is what I focused on while performing.”
Nishi believes in destiny and cosmic connections, especially when it comes to love. She said, “I feel everything is written by God and happens by design. Whatever happens in life is already meant to happen. I do believe in zodiac signs and predictions, but I also feel that everything is already written and planned.”
And the show made her think more about how people look for signs, compatibility, and connections in relationships today. She said, “While astrology can guide us, real emotions, understanding, and communication matter the most. That balance is something the show highlights well.”
If the stars could guide her next role, she would want to do a rom-com. She said, “I truly enjoyed working on this one, and I am a complete rom-com person. I don’t really enjoy thrillers or horror. Romance and comedy are the genres I connect with the most.”
She is all praise for Ishika, the creative force behind the show. She said, “Ishika is extremely creative and very clear about what she wants to create. She has her own ideas and pays attention to every detail. She was present on set all the time and involved in every scene. She handled everything with a lot of maturity and understanding, which is truly commendable.”
“Working with her was a lot of fun, and I know she is going to go a long way,” Nishi ended.
