Lokit Phulwani Opens Up on Exploring Complex Relationships in Oh Humnava—Tum Dena Saath Mera

Mumbai: Actor Lokit Phulwani, who plays Avinash in Oh Humnava—Tum Dena Saath Mera, produced by Prateek Sharma and Parth Shah under Studio LSD, shares that the show’s exploration of complex relationships and second chances required him to approach his role with emotional depth and honesty.
Talking about his process, he says, “I focused on understanding how relationships evolve and how second chances can transform a person’s perspective. I tried to keep the emotions as real and relatable as possible. Instead of over analyzing, I stayed present in the moment and reacted truthfully as the character.”
He adds that portraying layered emotions was both challenging and fulfilling. “It was important for me that the audience connect with the sincerity of these relationships and experience the character’s emotional growth. That’s what made this journey so rewarding.”
When it comes to building his character, Lokit emphasizes the importance of crafting a backstory. “I did go beyond what was written in the script and imagined my character’s past. It helps me understand where he comes from, what he has experienced, and why he behaves a certain way. I often visualize his life before the story begins—his relationships, struggles, and emotional journey. This keeps my performance consistent and natural.”
He believes that creating a backstory is less about overthinking and more about emotional connection. “It allows me to stay in the right mindset and bring more honesty to my performance,” he explains.
Lokit also notes that this role stands apart from his previous work. “There’s a certain maturity and depth in how this character deals with relationships and challenges. I got to explore more subtle emotions and quieter moments, which I really enjoyed. It’s not always about dramatic highs, but about the small, meaningful transitions—that’s what made it refreshing.”
Speaking about his experience with Studio LSD, he shares, “It feels like being part of a family. Prateek Sharma and Parth Shah create a warm and supportive environment on set. They are passionate yet approachable, and they make sure everyone feels valued. That sense of trust and comfort naturally reflects in the performance.” “For me, being part of this team has been a smooth and memorable experience,” he concludes.
