Mahashivratri 2026: Spiritual healer Aarti Kakkar shares transformative rituals for inner awakening

Mumbai: Ahead of Mahashivratri on February 15, 2026, spiritual healer Aarti Kakkar has shared a series of intention-based rituals, blending traditional devotion with candle magic, tarot alignment, energy assessment and crystal healing.
Calling Mahashivratri the “most powerful spiritual night of the year,” Aarti said, “Mahashivratri is not just a festival; it is a cosmic gateway. The planetary alignment on this night creates a natural upsurge of energy in the human spine, making it ideal for meditation, manifestation and spiritual breakthroughs.”
She explained that while traditional practices such as night-long jagran, abhishek of the Shiva Lingam and chanting ‘Om Namah Shivaya’ remain significant, the key lies in personal intention. “Ritual without intention is routine. Ritual with intention becomes transformation,” she said.
Speaking about releasing fear and insecurity, Aarti suggested applying a small amount of vibhuti on the third eye before dawn. “Bhasma reminds us that everything is temporary. When you apply it with awareness, you symbolically surrender fear and step into a renewed version of yourself,” she said. “You can amplify this with a white candle and clear quartz to cleanse stagnant energy.”
On career growth, she emphasised gratitude as a transformative force. “Pouring water infused with a flower petal and rice over a Shiva Lingam while expressing gratitude for past challenges shifts your vibration. When your energy shifts, opportunities align naturally,” Aarti said.
Addressing financial stability, she noted, “Placing a silver coin in water while chanting 108 times and later keeping it in your wallet symbolises protected, flowing wealth. I often combine this with tarot alignment to identify subconscious money blocks.”
Highlighting Mahashivratri’s association with the divine union of Shiva and Parvati, Aarti said the festival is particularly powerful for love and relationships. “Offering red sandalwood and lighting a ghee lamp while meditating on divine union invites harmony into your life. When your heart chakra is aligned, you attract a partner who honours your soul,” she said.
On mental clarity, she added, “Chanting ‘Om Namah Shivaya’ while focusing on the vibration in your chest helps dissolve confusion. Sound is frequency. When you tune into the cosmic frequency, clarity follows.”
