Music Producer AATMA Unveils Second Original Album Ehsaas

With Ehsaas, AATMA Explores Emotion Through Indian Classical and Electronic Sound

The Chandigarh-based music producer explores human emotion through a 10-track episodic project rooted in Indian classical and electronic sound.

Mumbai: Indian electronic music producer AATMA has released his second original album, Ehsaas, a deeply personal project that explores human emotion through a carefully structured series of songs. Created over a three-year period, the album marks a clear artistic shift for the Chandigarh-based artist, placing long-form storytelling and music production at the centre of his work.
Designed as a 10-track episodic album, Ehsaas unfolds gradually, with one track released each week. Each song reflects a distinct emotional state, allowing listeners to engage with the album over time rather than consuming it all at once. The format mirrors how audiences connect with music today, slowly, repeatedly, and with context.
Rooted in Indian classical and folk influences, Ehsaas blends these foundations with contemporary electronic production without relying on surface-level fusion. The album focuses on structure, restraint, and emotion-led composition, reflecting AATMA’s intent to evolve Indian sounds for a global audience through thoughtful music production rather than genre gimmicks.
Sharing his vision behind the album, Aatma shares, “Ehsaas comes from a very personal place for me. It is about noticing emotions we often ignore while chasing things outside of ourselves. Over the years, I have been travelling, playing shows, unlearning, and spending time alone with my thoughts, which made me realise how deeply Indian classical sounds are tied to feeling rather than structure. Electronic music gives me freedom, while classical music gives me soul, and bringing the two together is the language I use to translate emotions that don’t always have words.”
The first three tracks from the album – “Sukoon,” “Subah,” and “Gold” have already received an overwhelming response from listeners, with fans eagerly waiting for the next songs from the album to drop. He further adds, “The response to the tracks released so far has been deeply encouraging, with listeners across different audiences connecting with the music. This album took nearly three years because I wasn’t chasing a sound but a feeling. With Ehsaas, the vision was always to create space for listeners to pause, feel something familiar, and reconnect with a part of themselves they may have forgotten.”
Ehsaas builds on the momentum of AATMA’s earlier work, including his debut album Indian Roadtrip (2023), which charted at No. 1 in India and ranked among the top albums in 23 countries, as well as his 2025 album RELIC. His journey reflects the growing presence of Indian independent producers on the global music stage.
Over the past year, AATMA has expanded his international footprint with performances across Amsterdam, Vietnam, Dubai, and Thailand, including a set at the Full Moon Festival in Thailand. These shows marked his international live debut phase, with a focus on presenting Indian-influenced electronic music to new audiences.
AATMA currently has over 80,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, with total streams crossing 5 million. Tracks like Purple Sunset (Fake Tattoos Remix) have surpassed 633,000 streams, while Today continues to see steady growth. His recent single “Cinema” has received radio airplay across Ibiza, the UK, Las Vegas, Italy, the Czech Republic, Mexico, Denmark, Romania, Bulgaria, Spain, as well as Radio Mirchi in India, and continues to be played on international radio stations worldwide.
His work has been featured on Tomorrowland Radio, where he was highlighted as “The Next Big Thing”. AATMA is a recipient of the Independent Music Awards (IMA) Song of the Year, holds a distinction in sound engineering from Point Blank Music School, London, and has spoken at a TEDx event, where he discussed Indian Roadtrip and how travel and music shaped his creative breakthrough. He has also appeared on the cover of a US-based independent music magazine.

Ehsaas is currently rolling out across all major digital streaming platforms.
