Mumbai: The festive season is getting a whole lot funnier as The Great Indian Kapil Show kicks off its fifth season with its ‘Tyo-ha-ha-har’ of laughter, welcoming the cast of Drishyam: The Conclusion, Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav and Jaideep Ahlawat, along with director Abhishek Pathak. The season opens tonight, with the cast joining Kapil Sharma for an evening of festive memories, childhood anecdotes and plenty of laughter.
The conversation turns nostalgic as Kapil asks the cast about their favourite festivals. Mrunal Jadhav reveals her love for Holi because she enjoys getting drenched in colours, while Shriya Saran shares that her love for the festival runs so deep that she even celebrated Holi during her wedding. Speaking about growing up in Haridwar, she recalls how children were expected to pitch in during weddings and celebrations, saying, “ Chhote sheheron mein saare kaam karwate they. Humare yahan aisa sab hota hai. Ye saaf karo, yaha phool ka banao, yaha rangoli banao, gobar ka lep lagao, ye sab kiya hai maine! ”
