Parvathy Thiruvothu’s First Look as Police Officer Aleena Abraham from Pradhama Drishtya Kuttakkar Out

Mumbai: National Award winner Parvathy Thiruvothu is stepping into a never-before-seen avatar with her upcoming Malayalam thriller Pradhama Drishtya Kuttakkar. The first look of the actor as Aleena Abraham has now been unveiled, offering a glimpse of Parvathy in a police constable’s uniform.
The first look presents Parvathy in a composed yet striking police avatar, marking her first-ever role as a police officer in her two-decade-long acting career. As Aleena Abraham, she plays a woman constable whose professional life takes an unexpected turn, placing her at the centre of a tense and intriguing narrative.
Speaking about stepping into the role of Aleena, Parvathy says, “Every character brings with it a certain responsibility, and Aleena was particularly interesting to me because of the world she inhabits and the choices she has to make within it. This is my first time playing a police officer, so even the process of stepping into the uniform and understanding what it means to occupy that space was new for me. But more than the uniform, I was interested in Aleena as a woman — her vulnerabilities, her sense of duty, and the way she responds when the situation around her begins to change. Many things keep going out of control but she cannot afford to give up. I think there is a lot that is left unsaid about her, and that was exciting for me as an actor. I’m curious to see how audiences interpret Aleena and her journey.”
Directed by Shahad, Pradhama Drishtya Kuttakkar unfolds against the backdrop of a police station, with a murder case, mounting suspicion, and an investigation placing Aleena at the centre of the narrative. As Parvathy takes on the uniform for the first time, her portrayal of Aleena Abraham adds another intriguing character to her diverse body of work, further building anticipation around the film.
Interestingly, Parvathy’s association with a woman cop does not stop at Pradhama Drishtya Kuttakkar. She has also lent her voice to Kareena Kapoor Khan’s character in Daayra Anjooni, where Kareena too plays a police officer. While both characters belong to the world of law enforcement, the two offer an interesting opportunity to explore two distinct perspectives of women in uniform, with Parvathy bringing her voice to one cop and stepping into the uniform herself as another. The contrast makes both portrayals particularly refreshing and intriguing.
Beyond this, Parvathy has an exciting line-up ahead, with the actor also set to feature in HRX and Amazon’s upcoming series Storm, adding yet another dimension to her diverse slate of work.
