Kolkata : President Droupadi Murmu Visits Belur Math
UNN/Bijan Banerjee – The President of the country Draupadi Murmu visited Belur Mutt. Tight security arrangements have been made in Howrah since morning around the PresidentтАЩs visit. High-ranking police officials including the Mayor of Howrah City Police are present.SPG officers who are in charge of the PresidentтАЩs security are also present. On this day, President Draupadi Murmu entered the Belur Math a little before the scheduled time. Originally, he came to Belur Math on the darshan of Tagore Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansadeva.On this day, he will visit the main temple of Tagore Sri Sri Ramakrishna Dev, the temple of Maa Sarada Devi along with the temples of Swamiji and Brahmandji. Besides, he has the possibility to meet the Principal Maharaj. The President is supposed to stay at the monastery until around 9:30 am. Then he will leave for Kolkata. Ahead of the PresidentтАЩs visit to the Belur Math, Bali Belur region has been cordoned off with maximum security.
State Minister Barbaha Hansda, General Secretary of Ramakrishna Math and Mission Swami Subiraananda, Assistant General Secretary Swami Bodhsarananda, State Cooperatives Minister Arup Roy, District Magistrate Mukta Arya and Police Commissioner Praveen Kumar Tripathi welcomed the President at Belur Math this morning. The President was accompanied by Governor CB Anand Bose.
