Sun Neo Stars Suraj Pratap Singh, Akash Jagga and Anandita Sahoo Share Their Dhanteras Memories

Mumbai: As the festive glow of Dhanteras lights up every home, Sun Neo stars Suraj Pratap Singh from Divya Prem: Pyaar Aur Rahasya Ki Kahani, Akash Jagga from Prathaon Ki Odhe Chunri: Beendani, and Anandita Sahoo from Satyaa Sachee share their heartwarming childhood memories and what this special day means to them.
Suraj Pratap Singh, who plays Prem in Divya Prem: Pyaar Aur Rahasya Ki Kahani, shared, “I still remember how, as a child, On Dhanteras I’d sit beside my mother during the evening pooja, watching her carefully clean and decorate the coins and jewellery with haldi and kumkum. The glow of the diyas, the fragrance of ghee, and that feeling of peace in our home — it all felt magical. For her, Dhanteras was about praying for prosperity and protecting what we already had, but for me, it was about the joy of being together and feeling the blessings flow through our home. This year, I’ll be celebrating the festival of Dhanteras on the sets of my show Divya Prem: Pyaar Aur Rahasya Ki Kahani with my cast and crew. I’ll also pray to Goddess Lakshmi for the success of our show and for all of us.”
Akash Jagga, who plays Kundan in Prathaon Ki Odhe Chunri: Beendani says, “Dhanteras marks the beginning of Diwali, and my family and I traditionally buy something in gold. Over time, I’ve realized that the greatest wealth isn’t gold or money it’s good health, after all, health is wealth. I still fondly remember my childhood days when my mom and grandmother would be busy making sweets and snacks, while my cousins and I sneaked a few laddoos from the kitchen. The aroma of fresh mithai, laughter echoing through the house, and the sparkle of diyas made everything magical. Back then, it was all about fun, food, and endless giggles simple moments that made the festival truly unforgettable. Even today, on the sets of Prathaon Ki Odhni: Bindani, I’ve found a new family with whom I spend each day laughing, sharing moments, and working together. I just pray to Goddess Lakshmi to bless every home with happiness and prosperity”
Anandita Sahoo, who will be seen in Satyaa Sachee as satyaa, expressed , “I still remember a Dhanteras from my childhood when my father came home with a small steel box. At first, I didn’t understand what was so special about it until I saw my name written on it. I was just 11 years old, and that was probably the first thing that truly felt like ‘mine.’ My father said, ‘From now on, whenever you get some money, keep it in this box you never know when it might help you buy yourself whatever you want.’ That simple moment has stayed with me forever. Just like every year, this time too I’ll be buying something special with my earnings. I’ll celebrate with my family and my on-set family from Satyaa Sachee, praying for everyone’s success and happiness.”
