ULLU in Advance Talks to Sell OTT Platform with Content Library & Digital Infrastructure to an International Buyer

Mumbai: ULLU, the homegrown OTT platform known for its bold and edgy content, is reportedly in advanced discussions to sell its entire streaming service, including its content library, intellectual property, and digital infrastructure, to a foreign entity. Several international companies, including FAIRADMEDIA Pte Ltd, Incredible Digital World Pte Ltd and Algorithm Verse Inc, have expressed interest in acquiring the platform. Additionally, leading entertainment players from Singapore, the USA and Australia have also shown interest in this Indian company. This strategic move is aimed at unlocking new growth opportunities in global markets and repositioning the brand with a broader international focus.ULLU currently operates in 122+ international markets, where it has cultivated a loyal viewer base. Its diverse catalogue of original series and films, spanning multiple Indian languages and genres, has helped the platform establish a strong foothold among audiences outside India.If finalised, this would mark one of the most significant M&A deals in India’s streaming sector and could signal a new chapter for ULLU as it pivots toward becoming a global entertainment hub. The deal is expected to include the company’s full OTT technology stack, backend infrastructure, and rights to its extensive IP catalogue.
Founded in 2018, ULLU quickly gained popularity for its niche positioning. It built a substantial audience, particularly in tier-2 and tier-3 cities, by offering content that pushed the boundaries of traditional formats. The platform has not yet issued an official comment regarding the ongoing discussions.
