Thodi Si Umeed Thoda Sa Aasman Actor Gaurav Bajpai on Playing Abhijeet: The Current Track Has Been Especially Challenging and Fun

Mumbai: Love can make life complicated, but when it comes to choosing between love and responsibility, the decision becomes even harder. Sun Neo’s Thodi Si Umeed, Thoda Sa Aasman is currently exploring this emotional conflict through Abhijeet, played by Gaurav Bajpai. While Abhijeet is deeply in love with Anupriya, circumstances have led him towards marriage with Vaidehi, leaving him caught between his heart and his responsibilities.
As Abhijeet tries to find a way out of the situation, he goes to great lengths to stop the marriage. However, his plans do not always work in his favour, making the journey even more unpredictable. At the same time, Anupriya is beginning to realise her own feelings, adding another layer to the already complicated situation. With emotions running high and every decision having a consequence, it remains to be seen how Abhijeet handles this difficult phase and where his choices ultimately lead him.
Sharing his experience of playing Abhijeet and the challenges of the current track, Gaurav Bajpai said, “Playing Abhijeet has been a really exciting experience for me because he is not a character who has everything figured out. He is caught between his feelings, his responsibilities, and the expectations of the people he loves, and that makes him very human and relatable. What I particularly enjoy is portraying the different shades of his personality, whether it is his determination to fight for what he believes in, the emotional conflicts he faces, or the moments when his plans don’t go the way he imagined. As an actor, these layers give me a lot to explore and keep the performance fresh.”
He further added “The current track has been especially challenging and fun because Abhijeet is going through a phase where he is trying everything possible to change the situation around him, while emotions and circumstances keep pushing him in an entirely different direction. His equation with Anupriya and Vaidehi adds another layer to the story, and it is interesting to see how he navigates this complicated situation without losing sight of what matters to him. I am really enjoying this journey because every scene brings a new challenge, and I believe the audience will have a lot to look forward to as the story unfolds”
