Pune: Indo athletic society, is a leading social athletic sports association of the country founded in 2016. With 20000 members connected across the globe the organisation focuses on connecting the dots being aligned with Fit India movement
and all the events organised aim to enculcate and spread historical and cultural values and legacy of India. All activities are organised for the betterment of community health and environment.
Various drives like tree plantation, fort-mountain-river cleaning are conducted by IAS throughout the year. IAS is a also actively participating in various activities of the government of India in order to improve the infrastructure of smart cities. Collaborating with various social NGOs across the country IAS aspires to improve eco friendly infrastructure. IAS is proud to have been selected as training partner for the armed forces long distance cycling, conducted on the account of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. This Saturday December 11th (4:00 a.m.) marking the 75th independence of India, 75 members from Indo athletic society are setting out to ride bicycles from Pune to Kanyakumari covering a massive distance of 1600km . This is the only longest ride from our country with huge number of participants.
Bigdi Bhakti-Shakti Udyan is the flagoff location.
The journey of 10 days covers places Pune – Karad – Belgaum – yellapur – Murudeshwar – Mangalore – Thalassery – Guruvayur – Alappuzha – Thiruvananthapuram – Kanyakumari. All the riders will be pedalling a distance of 170-180km per day said founder of Indo athletic society founder Gajanan Khaire.
IAS core team members are actively involved in planning and implementing various activities for this longest ride said founder Ganesh Bhujbal. During this pandemic time health has become a primary focus for all individuals and we are working on this front from last 10 years. IAS dedicates this ride to the victims of helicopter crash in Tamil killing CDS General Bipin Rawat. With this ride IAS will also highlight and recognise the efforts taken frontline workers from the pandemic.
Pune to Kanyakumari is the dream ride for all cyclists. IAS is taking all the required measures to ensure safety of all involved in this great ride. Taking necessary vaccinations is a strict mandey and no riders will be allowed to join the ride without taking RTPCR test.
This ride is being conducted under the firm guidance from IAS chief advisor Businessman Annarey biradar , Businessman Subah jaisinghani ,CA K.L. Bansal and Dr.Subhash Mate , Mr. Ajay Darekar in Aassociation with PCMC renowned builder Arun developers , Nirman greens , constructocare , GGIS institutes, unique spaces, Delhi Gujarat fleet carriers private limited, Shewale and company, Sahyadri industries, broadleaf Healthcare private limited and ramki technologies private limited.
